What Does Christian Fellowship Chapel Believe About:
GOD
We believe in the living, one true God, who is perfect, infinite,
eternal, all-knowing and Who co-exists in three Persons, namely
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew
28:19; John 4:21)
The Bible
We believe the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments are complete
and inerrant as originally written. The Bible was written by men
inspired by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
Humankind
We believe that humanity was created by God and in His image, but
through personal unbelief and disobedience to the revealed will
of God, became sinful creatures, "dead in trespasses and sins"
and live under the righteous judgement and wrath of God. Everyone
is a sinner and are unable of themselves to gain recovery or salvation.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:20; Jeremiah 13:23; John 1:13; 2 Corinthians
4:4)
Salvation
We believe that our salvation is the free gift of God's grace and
that we are justified solely on the ground of the shed blood of
out Lord Jesus Christ, who was made sin for us by His being our
substitute on the Cross. We believe that salvation is received only
by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that apart from Christ,
there is no possible salvation. (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; 4:12; 13:39;
Romans 3:23-24; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 9:22;
2 Peter 2:24)
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity, virgin birth, sacrificial and substitutionary
death, bodily resurrection and present, high priestly ministry of
Jesus Christ. (John 1:1-3; Hevrew 4:15; 1 Peter 2:24)
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Personality of the Holy Spirit and His ministry
of conviction, regeneration, empowerment and indwelling. (Romans
8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25)
